Icelandic music and landscape are famous world-wide. The North Wind Sound Art Residency Program aims to provide an excellent opportunity for international sound artists and field recordists interested in landscape, place and the unique environment of northern Iceland. Based in the working fishing village of Olafsfjordour, it will also provide opportunities for exchange and collaboration with Icelandic musicians. This 2-month artist residency program allows artists enough time for serious art creation and includes a performing tour showcasing the results of the residency in Akureyri, the capital of Northern Iceland. At this stage there are plans to extend the performance tour to Southern Iceland, but details will be confirmed soon.

550 euro @month x 2 (a single room + workspace for one person)
700 euro @month x 2 (a double room + workspace for one person)
850 euro @month x 2 (a double room + workspace for two person)
1000-1200 euro @month x 2 (for group 3-4 + workspace)
