Rebecca graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a major in Modern Dance and Choreography. While still in school, Rebecca was presented in Hong Kong Dance Alliance's "Emerging New Choreographer Platform." She further received funding from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to present her first full-length production "When Time Limps". Her works explore femininity issues, contrast delicate feelings with uniquely awkward movements in order to test the boundaries of the human physique. Rebecca is one of the active choreographers of the new generation and dancers in Hong Kong. She hopes to continue her expression through dance and have toured to Malaysia, Taiwan, Beijing, Guangzhou and the United States.
About the tour to Iceland:
In this tour to Iceland, Rebecca is seeking for galleries and artspace(s) to perform this art piece, When Time Limps. Besides dance performance, she is willing to have an improvisation performance with resident and local artist(s) and also arrange dance Workshops for adults and children.
About the dance piece, When Time Limps:
When Time Limps is inspired by the Surrealist, Salvador Dali, his paintings and diaries are unveiled layer by layer until the unfolding of his narcissism. The sharpness of body movements melts gradually. With the original music, surreal scenes of "relationship and love" are brought into the reality.
